In-laws to Love, or In-laws from Hell?Uploaded: Oct 17, 2013
I fell in love today. It was not with my husband (this time). It was with a Macintosh computer. It happened once before; I can barely remember the year: it was a Mac Plus, there were hardly any apps for it. I spent hours with it in my attic apartment on Kipling Street in downtown Palo Alto . . .
Today I was shopping for my MIL; she's 78, technophobic, and I adore her. She's been the mom of my heart for many years and was my career mentor for a good long time, too. For more years than I've been married to her son, in fact.
It's good to have family of choice. We all have family of origin. Having both can be the best.
How do you and your partner handle in-laws? I hope you're united as a couple first; then together you decide everything to do with your in-laws.
