'The Bay Area and Beyond'
The Cantor Arts Center will have on display a long-term exhibit of modern and contemporary art, focusing on the Bay Area. Works will include pieces by artists with Stanford connections, among them Richard Diebenkorn, Nathan Oliveira and Frank Lobdell. Wednesday-Monday, Aug. 13-June 15, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thursday til 8 p.m. Free. Cantor Arts Center, 328 Lomita Drive at Museum Way, Stanford.

'Drama of Heaven and Earth'
The Cantor Arts Center tells the history of the Japanese dramatic art of Noh in an exhibit called "Drama of Heaven and Earth: The Theatrical Traditions of Japan," which is composed of masks, ceramics, prints and other visual materials. Wednesday-Monday, Sept. 17-July 13, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thursday til 8 p.m. Free. Cantor Arts Center, 328 Lomita Drive, Stanford.
