Peninsula Rose Society meeting
Jolene Adams, president of the American Rose Society and Master Gardener, will talk about the drought and its effects on roses and gardens, focusing specifically on the interaction of water and soil. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has been helping people around the world to improve their communication and leadership skills. The Palo Alto Toastmasters Club meets each week in city hall's Council Chambers. Club membership is diverse, and guests are welcome. Tuesdays, through December, noon-1 p.m. Free.
