Kidnapping, Domestic Violence -- 700 Block E. Evelyn Ave., 2/2

On the night of Feb. 2, a husband and wife had an argument at the wife's father's Sunnyvale home on Cortez Avenue. The wife left the house on foot and walked to the area of Bernardo Avenue and Evelyn Avenue, but her husband and father pursued her in a van and forced her inside.

The victim struggled and escaped, but was again caught and forced back into the van. The van was driven back to the residence on Cortez, where the victim escaped a second time and headed back to the area of Bernardo and Evelyn, and the husband and father chased her on foot.

At this point, a concerned bystander noticed what was happening and called 911. Mountain View police responded at 11:33 p.m. and found all three people involved. The victim declined to press charges against her father, but her husband was arrested on charges of domestic violence and kidnapping.
