Brandishing a weapon -- 800 block San Veron Ave., 3/14

A man who had been involved in a fight at Century 16 Theaters on the night of March 13 was confronted by several other people who had also been in the fight on San Veron Avenue at 5:38 p.m. Trying to scare them away, the man brandished a fake firearm he had concealed in his pants. A neighbor spotted the weapon and notified police, who responded and arrested the suspect for brandishing a weapon.

Domestic Violence -- 400 block Calderon Ave., 3/10

At 9:24 p.m. officers responded to the address of a phone that had twice called 911 and hung up. A woman opened the door with visible swelling to her forehead and scratches on her arm. The victim told officers that her boyfriend had become belligerent and slapped and struck her after drinking. Officers arrested the suspect and booked him at San Jose Main Jail.

Attempted Grand Theft -- 900 block Eichler Dr., 3/14

A minor was walking in the area of the 900 block of Eichler Drive when he was approached by two other minors. One of them pointed a fake gun at the first boy and told him to empty his pockets. The victim could see that the gun was fake and did not do as they said. Instead, he yelled for his father, who called 911.

Officers responded at 6 p.m. and found the suspects walking down the street. They were arrested for brandishing a weapon and attempted grand theft. Because they were minors and the gun was fake, they were released to their parents.
