(May 14, 2004) Condon trial preliminary examination expected in June
The preliminary examination in the murder trial of Doris "Dot" Condon is expected to be held in June. According to prosecutors, San Jose residents Leonel Cantor, also known as Enrique Chavez, and David Olayo entered Condonís home on Oct. 25 and beat her severely. A third man, Jose Sosa, is charged with being an accessory to the murder for driving Chavez and Olayo from Condonís home. The defendants have all plead not guilty. 77-year-old Condon was beaten in her home on Jardin Drive and died later from injuries. Her death has launched Mountain Viewís first murder case in roughly two years.
