Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Battery Albertoís 736 Dana St., 5/9
At 1:24 a.m. a police officer encountered a women who said one of her two friends in Albertoís nightclub had been struck in the head with a beer bottle.
Through investigation the officer was able to ascertain one of the three women friends was dancing and accidentally bumped into another female dancer. When the woman tried to apologize from bumping into the dancer , the dancer refused the apology and hit her in the head with a beer bottle.
Another friend of the woman who was hit tried to intervene. The dancer hit the friend in the head with her fist.
Police arrested the female dancer on suspicion of committing assault with a deadly weapon and battery.
Driving Under the Influence, Hope St., 5/7
At 1:49 a.m. an officer patrolling Hope St. noticed a car traveling with its headlights off. The Officer stopped the car and as while starting to speak with the driver noticed a strong odor of alcohol.
The Officer asked the driver if he had been drinking and how much had he had. The driver responded: A pint of beer.
The officer noticed the male driver was slurring his words and seemed confused in trying to answer questions.
The driver was placed under arrest and eventually given a citation and released to a friend who drove him home.
