School board

Juan Aranda, who resigned from a four-year term on the Mountain View-Whisman School Board two years ago, has pulled nomination papers to run again for the five-member governing body this November.

Aranda joins incumbent Gloria Higgins, who replaced him in 2002, and newcomers Chris Chiang and Fiona Walter. There are three open seats on the school board.

Incumbent Phil Faillace pulled papers to join incumbent Susan Sweeley for the two-seat high school board race, according to the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters office.

El Camino Hospital board

Leonard Doberne pulled papers for the three-seat El Camino Hospital board race. Incumbents Wesley Alles, Dominick Curatola and Edward Bough had previously pulled papers to run.
