Counterfeiting -- Crestview Motor Lodge, 8/11

A clerk at the Crestview Motor Lodge called police at 5:50 a.m. because he suspected the $100 bill a guest had submitted as payment was fake. Police arrived at the motel and made contact with the man who had paid with the suspect bill. At the same time, other officers inspected the currency and concluded that it was indeed a fake.

A search of the suspect's room uncovered more counterfeit money and materials for further false bills. Officers also found methamphetamine in the room. Police arrested the male suspect, 34, as well as his 19-year-old female accomplice on charges of possession of counterfeit money and possession of narcotics.

Battery -- Dana St./View St., 8/15

At approximately 1:58 a.m., a male and a female left Alberto's Night Club and entered a parking lot. Two males then confronted them and began harassing the female. The female's companion instructed the subjects to stop, at which point they attacked him and then fled in a car. The male victim sought medical attention for facial injuries he sustained.

The suspects are both described as Hispanic males, 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 210 pounds. At the time of the attack, one was wearing a white T-shirt with blue jeans and a white hat, and the other wore a red or burgundy sweatshirt with blue jeans. The car they were driving was a dark green 1990s two-door Acura or Honda. Both suspects are still at large.

Battery on a police officer -- SFV Hall, 361 Villa St., 8/14

Police received a call from private security personnel at about 9:37 p.m. who were working at a party and reported that the festivities were getting out of hand. Police arrived soon afterward to break up the party. As partygoers were exiting, one man became unruly and was placed under arrest for public drunkenness.

As he was being cuffed, a family member of his emerged from the crowd and punched the arresting officer in the face. The attacker was subdued and arrested for battery on a police officer.
