Strong Armed Robbery, 500 block Ortega Avenue, 8/8

A 50-year-old woman was walking on Latham Street between Showers and Ortega at around 7 p.m. when a man approached her from behind and pulled her purse off of her shoulder. He ran east down Latham Street, boarded the passenger side of a slow-moving, green SUV and fled the area. The suspect is described as an Asian male in his 30s.

Robbery at Tropicana Lounge, 8/6

A man wearing a black nylon ski mask walked into the lobby of the Tropicana Lounge, a hotel at 1720 W. El Camino Real, and displayed a knife. He demanded cash and, once he had it, fled the hotel. He is described as a 6-foot-tall white man weighing about 170 pounds.
