Community brief

El Camino Hospital Auxiliary and Foundation is offering scholarships to students who wish to pursue a career in a health-related field, including clinical laboratory technology, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy and radiation oncology technology, among others.

Graduating high school seniors and full-time college students may apply for this scholarship, which will go toward the 2006-07 school year.

Awards are made on the basis of financial need, scholastic achievement, goals and character. The application is available online at www.elcaminohospital.org under the link "Volunteer Opportunities." Applications will also be made available at high school career centers, local college financial aid offices, the main libraries of each city and at the El Camino Hospital Auxiliary Office.
