LA girls hoopsters win back-to-back

The Lady Eagles earned their first two-game winning streak of the year with wins over Saratoga and Cupertino. In a season that has seen Los Altos struggle, the Eagles appear to be playing as well as they have all season long and look to keep the streak going with games against Mountain View and Fremont.

MV girls hoopsters continue to roll

With decisive wins over both Lynbrook and Fremont last week, the Mountain View girls basketball team improved its record in league to 6-1. Now on a five-game winning streak, Mountain View will look to improve on that when it plays Los Altos and Saratoga this week.

MV boys basketball earns first win

Mountain View High's boys basketball team earned its first league win on Friday when it defeated Fremont 53-37. The Spartans had not won since late December, despite a number of close games. This week, Mountain View will have two road games at Gunn and Homestead.

SF boys basketball breaks losing streak

The Lancers broke a 7-game losing streak in league play with a 50-43 win over St. Ignatius on Saturday. It has been a struggle for the team this year, as injuries have hurt the team. St. Francis will look to build on the win when it hosts Bellarmine and travels to play at Junipero Serra on Friday.

St. Francis girls soccer going strong

The Lady Lancers soccer team continues to play well despite its first loss since Dec. 1. St. Francis lost a 3-1 contest to Archbishop Mitty on Tuesday, but bounced back to soundly defeat Sacred Heart 5-0 on Thursday. With a record of 9-1-3, the Lancers are battling it out with Archbishop Mitty (7-1-2) for the league title.
