Last chance to see 'Pick Up Ax' at The Pear

Before it's too late, check out Anthony Clarvoe's "Pick Up Ax" at Mountain View's intimate Pear Avenue Theatre. The play's final week begins tonight and ends on Sunday, March 15.

"Pick Up Ax," a rags-to-riches story of a start-up computer company in Silicon Valley, is partly a drama but offers plenty of good laughs, nostalgia, endearing characters and a steady rock-and-roll soundtrack.

Two young business partners, naive computer nerds, suffer hard knocks in the business world as their genius doesn't seem to be enough for the growing dog-eat-dog computer industry.

After partnering up with a businessman who is computer illiterate but skilled in the ways of sabotage, the young nerds find themselves drawn into a twisting plot with a surprise ending.

"Pick Up Ax" runs Thursday, March 12 through Sunday, March 15. Hours are 8 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are available at or by calling (800) 838-3006. The Pear is located at 1220 Pear Ave., Mountain View.

Pick Up Ax at Mountain View's Pear Avenue Theater is a great play. Six of us saw it and everyone really enjoyed it. The Pear's play's are generally very good but this is one of their better ones. A good play with good acting and production.
