Nearly 1,400 PG&E customers were without power because of an outage in Mountain View this morning, a utility spokeswoman said.
The outage was reported at 5:54 a.m. and initially affected 3,293 customers, PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said.
Power has been restored to more than half of the affected customers, but 1,397 customers remained without power as of shortly before 8
a.m., Morris said.
She said crews were on the scene but had not yet determined the cause of the outage.
The customers who remained without power were along California Street, University Avenue, College Street, Fair Oaks Street, Showers Drive and other nearby streets, Morris said.
She said there was not yet an estimated time for when power would be restored to all customers.
