Forecast calls for chance of thunderstorms

Following Sunday night's advisory for strong winds from the west, forecasters say thunderstorms are in store for the Bay Area on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Monterey.

The North Bay can expect thunderstorms starting on Monday, with the storms spreading throughout the Bay Area on Tuesday.

The winds could cause small tree branches and debris to fall and lightning from thunderstorms will increase concerns about fire dangers, the weather service said.
