Police say they have found a 30-year-old woman who walked out of El Camino Hospital on Monday morning against her doctor's orders — and with an intravenous drip still attached to her chest.

On Monday, police notified the public that Heather Chambers, also known as Lynn, has a psychological illness that could impair her judgment. She left the hospital at about 9:10 a.m. Monday morning with a "central IV line" still attached, and removing the line could be fatal if not done by a trained medical professional, police said.

Chambers had last been seen wearing light clothes and socks. Police say Chambers eventually contacted her mother and sought medical attention. No further information on the circumstances of her recovery was immediately available.
