El Camino district board picks new member
|
The El Camino Hospital District Board of Directors held a special meeting last Tuesday night and selected Patricia Einarson to be its new member.
Einarson was picked to replace Mark O'Connor, who announced in February that he would be stepping down. Board members cast secret ballots to appoint Einarson on a 3-1 vote, said hospital spokeswoman Chris Ernst.
Einarson, a medical doctor who is board certified in family medicine, has a private practice in Mountain View where she specializes in eating disorders. From 2003 to 2004, she served as the co-chief resident at the San Jose Medical Center. She will be sworn in May 12 and her term expires in November.— Andrea Gemmet Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.

Posted by District resident, a resident of the Old Mountain View neighborhood, on Apr 27, 2010 at 1:53 pm Does the Brown Act allow secret ballots? Or is this not covered by the Brown Act because it's some sort of part-public/part-private setup so they're public when they want property taxes and private when they want to limit transparency?
