| Furthering its plans to operate an airship for tourism out of Moffett Field, Airship Ventures is moving from its Los Gatos office to Moffett's historic Shenandoah Plaza.
"We are very pleased to be taking this next step towards permanent operations," said Brian Hall, president of Airship Ventures, in a press release. "One can't help but be inspired by the historic setting -- the past home to the Macon and fleets of Navy blimps -- and how appropriate for it to become the future home to modern high-tech airships on the eve of its 75th birthday."
The company will be renovating a portion of historic Building 20 as part of the deal. Until then, the company has set up a temporary office in Building 156.
The group's deal with NASA Ames to station a Zeppelin NT airship out of Moffett has yet to be finalized. The City Council passed a supportive resolution in November. — Daniel DeBolt Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.
