 | A rabbi and top officials from three local school districts will explore "challenges young people face in today's high-stress world" in a panel discussion set for Thursday.
"Putting kids first" is the title of the event, to be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Congregation Beth Am, 26790 Arastradero Road, Los Altos Hills.
Panelists include Beth Am Senior Rabbi Janet Marder; the superintendents of both the Los Altos School District and the Mountain View-Los Altos High School District; Gunn High School Principal Katya Villalobos; and Becky Beacom, health education manager for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.
Beth Am representative Sylvia Star-Lack said members of the congregation have spent the past year researching the social and emotional health of school-age children.
"This important community dialogue is the culmination of a year of research," she said.
The event is co-sponsored by Congregation Beth Am and Peninsula Interfaith Action, a group of 30 congregations interested in joint action on local quality-of-life issues.
