 | No logs will be burning in the Bay Area Thursday as another Spare the Air Day has been announced by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, the 14th for this winter season.
The wood-burning ban includes indoors and outdoors in all nine Bay Area counties and will be effective for 24 hours, air district officials said. The ban includes the burning of wood and other solid fuels in fireplaces, wood stoves and inserts, pellet stoves, outdoor fire pits, and other wood-burning devices.
More information regarding air quality forecasts and wood-burning bans can be found at www.sparetheair.org.— Bay City News Service Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.

I cannot open my windows at night for fresh air while I sleep because the smoke from fireplaces and fake logs fills the air in Mountain View.

Not sure why we feel compelled to give the government so much control over our lives.
Do I really need the government to tell me what kind of light bulb I need to buy to save me from spending too much on my power bill?
