Restaurant burglar takes $360 in steaks

Four slabs of filet mignon and $80 in cash were stolen from Le Petit Bistro by a burglar with an an epicurean bent, sometime overnight between March 15 and 16, police said.
The stolen cuts of beef were valued at $360 by the restaurant, located at 1405 W. El Camino Real, according to Liz Wylie, public information officer for the Mountain View Police Department.

Don't count on it. This writer frequently does things like this in his articles. I'm chalking it up to inexperience. At least, I hope that's why he does such irresponsible reporting. I can't believe that he hasn't removed that part and the comments pertaining to it yet. I guess that now it doesn't matter - the damage is done. I feel so bad for the owner - he's a wonderful man, and a great chef, I might add.
