Investigators are searching for the cause of a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex on Fairchild Drive on Saturday afternoon, a fire department spokeswoman said.
Firefighters arrived at the building in the 200 block at about 1:30 p.m. on April 14 and found two vehicles in flames in a carport, said Jaime Garrett of the Mountain View Fire Department. The fire had spread into apartments above the carport, she said.
The fire was brought under control just before 2 p.m. and rendered one apartment uninhabitable, Garrett said. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and an estimate of the damages is not yet available. Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.
