Bullis Charter School will start the next school year with additional portable space for classrooms and a computer lab, the Los Altos School Board agreed during its meeting on Monday.

The school, which is located on the Egan Middle School campus, will receive the equivalent of an extra four and a half classrooms in space, which also will be used for a teachers' lounge and storage.

Under the education code, districts must provide charter schools with facilities. Trustees originally offered the school two additional portables, but increased its offer after the school said it needed more space.
