Rotten Robbie robbed
|
The convenience store attached to the Rotten Robbie, located at 310 N. Whisman Road, was robbed on Friday, police said.
A man in a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans walked into the store at about 7:32 p.m. on June 29 and demanded money from the woman behind the counter, according to Jaime Garrett, spokeswoman for the Mountain View Police Department.
The man did not appear to have a weapon, nor did he say he was armed, Garrett said. However, the clerk said she felt threatened and so she complied with his demands -- handing over an undisclosed amount of money.
The man fled the Rotten Robbie on foot, but the clerk said she did not know which way he headed. Garrett said the clerk described the robber as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s. The hood of the man's sweatshirt covered his mouth and chin, she said.
Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect, Garrett said. Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.

....perhaps the robber is imaginary, or made up? Or at least the word is getting out that you don't need a gun to rob this gas station.
(If indeed real, not judging the decision to hand over the $...just sayin'...)

I know there is a security camera. It seems a little odd that they were not on at this time of evening! The sweet little miss.......may not be soooooooo sweet......!
