KMVT to broadcast council candidate debate online

City Council candidates will be debating live online and on TV on Wednesday, Oct. 10,. courtesy of Mountain View's cable access channel

As he has in past elections,Seth Shostak is set to moderate the discussion.
KMVT is asking residents to call in their questions for the six candidates at (650) 968-1540. Local journalists will also be present to question the candidates.

In a race for four open seats, incumbents Mike Kasperzak and John Inks are running for re-election against planning commissioners John McAlister and Chris Clark as well as newcomers Margaret Capriles and Jim Neal.

The debate runs from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and the broadcast begins at 7:15 p.m.

The debate can be viewed on KMVT's website and Youtube channel and on cable Channel 15 for Comcast cable subscribers and Channel 99 on AT&T U-verse.

The last such debate of the season will be held the following day, Thursday, Oct. 11, at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 2094 Grant Road. Hosted by the Cuesta Park Neighborhood Association, it runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
