Los Altos, MVLA prepare for joint meeting
|
| Los Altos City Council members and trustees from the Mountain View Los Altos High School District are scheduled to meet on Monday, June 9 to discuss a number of issues facing local teens and their parents.
During the joint meeting, beginning at 7 p.m. at Los Altos City Hall, the council and district board plan to talk about outreach and counseling for drug and alcohol use, teen programs, parking and transportation, shared use of the district's facilities, and mobile food venders. They also plan to discuss the transparency of the school board, which does not televise its meetings.
The council and district board meet every several years, but no binding decisions are made during these meetings. — Casey Weiss Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.

Do you know how many kids do drugs, smoke and drink?
Well, even the girls and boys who look "innocent" are doing it all.
I caught a weed deal going on inside the vta bus...those stupid security cameras are worthless- they did it in front of everyone, yet they were never caught.PATHETIC.
Check into that.
Put up cameras around schools.
