Gail passed away quickly and painlessly early Wednesday morning in her home on March 28, 2012. She was born to her parents, Robert and Margaret Offermann, in Modesto, CA as the eldest of three daughters. Modesto was her home for fifty-six years where she met her husband, Larry Friedrich, and raised their three daughters.

Gail excelled in her teaching career from 1978 until her passing. After being blessed with three children under the age of three in 1987, she focused her career in education as a stay-at-home mom and leader in church related activities. Once her children had grown, she returned to the workforce in 2005. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, cooking, gardening, scrapbook & card crafts, and being an amazing mother and wife. Her wisdom, memories and love will live on through the many lives that she touched.

She is survived by her husband, daughters, Katie Carter, Lauren and Madalyn Friedrich, son-in-law, Scott Carter, parents, and sisters, Barbara Grant and Nancy Marcotte.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 from 2pm until 5pm at Franklin & Downs Colonial Chapel 704 12th St., Modesto. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 11:30am at Modesto Covenant Church 913 Floyd Ave., Modesto. Her final resting place will be private.
