Robbers took a medical marijuana user's stash last Friday, barging in through an unlocked door just before 2 a.m. as he sat in his living room.
Two unnamed victims, 18 and 19 years old, were held down in the apartment on the 200 block of Monroe Drive while the thieves opened a safe and took marijuana, a wallet and a cannabis club card. One of the victims was punched in the side, but no one was injured.
The victims were stoned, police said, and therefore could not give good descriptions of the suspects. But police believe the suspects were four or five black men who used their shirts to cover their faces. Anyone with information should call (650) 903-6344.
Workers' equipment stolen from bar
As if it weren't enough that the ceiling fell in two months ago, Bert's Alibi Bar on El Camino Real was broken into and ransacked overnight last Wednesday.
The building at 1313 El Camino Real was undergoing repairs after part of the ceiling fell in on Oct. 8. It was an easy target because the electricity had been turned off, there was no one around and there were many escape routes, police said.
On Dec. 3, burglars broke in and took power tools and other equipment. They also broke into Cigarette Express, a convenience store next door, and took alcohol and an LCD screen.
