El Camino clinical trial aims to catch lung cancer early

Combining CT scans and genetic testing could save smokers' lives

A new El Camino Hospital study, launched at the beginning of this month, aims to use a genetic test to determine which smokers would benefit most from receiving regular computerized tomography scans.

Why only to catch lung cancer early? Why not to launch 100 other fancy clinical trial$ to catch more $$$?
