Voices Around Town

How do you feel about school lunches?

Asked in downtown Mountain View. Photos and interviews by Anna Li.

"I don't usually have my kids eat school lunches. They could have more wholesome food. Even though they try, I think they could get rid of the sweet drinks and do better. "

Lisa Gefken, Mountain View

"School lunches should be more healthy because it's up to the school and the government to make sure kids have healthy lunches."

Claire Kalia, Mountain View

"Sometimes I think they're great. Sometimes, they're not. I like Mondays and Fridays because Monday is pizza day and Friday is hamburger day."

Lizbeth Lopez, Mountain View

"The food is greasy. Sometimes, it's cold and sometimes it doesn't even feel like food."

Rosa Arenas, Mountain View

"They could be better. The cheeseburgers, I don't even know if it's cheese most of the time. It doesn't look like cheese. The meat is weird. It doesn't taste like meat. Sometimes, the bread tastes like cardboard."

Bryon Fayne, Mountain View
