School district seeks approval of $198 million bond

Officials with the local elementary and middle school district are asking voters to approve a $198 million bond measure to modernize and improve school facilities and safety infrastructure.

OK, so your plan is to throw out the 300 kids currently at Whisman? Most of them are MV residents! I will certainly vote NO on G!

The district has no intention of reopening Slater or Whisman schools. They'd rather get $300K rent from Google. Instead of having neighborhood schools, parents in the NE part of town can continue driving their kids back and forth to other parts of town where the cozy neighborhood schools will now house 600+ students instead of the current 500+

So much for "small schools, small classes" the district dropped that line from their glossy campaign brochures years ago.
