Mtn View cannot create enough transit alternative for all the possible locations these tech workers are commuting from. Google worker will commute from over a 50 miles area. Yes SF has a large number but all in a small area, while SJ is over 10 miles wide with a sparse transit system. Google chose to use private Buses to SF. That's how bad the Bay Area transit system is.
