Kepler's principle investigator recognized by President Obama

NASA's Kepler mission was a dream that NASA Ames scientist William Borucki shared with Carl Sagan and others — a telescope floating in outer space that could peer deeper into the heavens than ever before. But Borucki was told repeatedly by NASA administrators that the proposal was a non-starter.
