Kudos to the MVPD.

How sad that so many are quick to put down the police over the house party incident yet no praise for catching the suspects on this case.

yes, it's sad that folks are always claiming MVPD officers are racist, brutal and busting up innocent birthday parties, etc, but NEVER give them credit for solving murders and other crime in short order. In this case both victims were not white, yet MVPD still solved the crime in a professional expedient manner. Where's the racist cops??? I just read another suspect was arrested at Mineta airport this afternoon. I am a proud supporter of our fine officers and wish all you cop bashers would try to step into their shoes before you "armchair quarterback" how they do their job!

MVPD seems to be doing a great job getting these criminals off the streets lately!

How sad that these "people" had a month to back out and no one took the high road to warn the victim or the police. Thay should all be charged with double murder and sent away forever regardless of their age. Thank you to the MVPD and whoever helped crack the case. I sure hope the iphone was worth it. This should hopefully act as a lesson that good will prevail over evil. And KARMA, wether it be good or bad will win out!!! I sure hope the little 8 year old boy who was left behind doesn't let this event "ruin" his life and make him hate the world(people)...but then how could it not change him?

Just an after thought...when this first happened most of the comments talked about Illegal Immigration(aliens) or gang members committing the crimes in our city. Do the suspects look illegal? Most are related, I sure hope their parents are "proud", I guess the apple might not fall far from the tree. Maybe we should also charge their parents with raising such "fine" citizens. Yes, I am being sarcastic.

Racism? Profiling? The victims were black and the perpatrators were black, asian and white. People need to get off the race card excuses. Black, white, asian, male or female. They're all cowerdly murderers. Fry these punks!! Kudos MVPD!!

Correction: The victims were hispanic. That makes it even more of a mixed race situation. And girls involved too. What the heck is going on with these people.

This is crazy - I never thought I would see the day that crime was on the rise in Mountain View. I've lived in Mountain View since I was 3yrs and now I'm 33 and I cannot believe how crime in Mountain View nowadays. Gangs is Mountain View - whaattt??? Are you kidding. And what really gets me is the crime seems to be always committed by someone out of the city - from San Jose - from Santa Clara etc.

Every year for the last past 5yrs someone in my household's car has been broken into and a radio stolen. I was in shock when my brother's bronco truck got stolen in front of my parents eyes about 6yrs ago. And the people who stole it was from San Jose.

Oh and regarding the MVP - I have mixed feelings about them. I remember an incident when I myself called the MVP and instead of them speaking to the caller - the resident - me - they decided to speak to the person whom I called the police on. I was told to "shut up" by MVP. by some short asshole cop. All I was saying is - hello - I'm the one who called you. Another incident was with an x-boyfriend who hid his driving record from me. He was stopped by the police and had my car towed away and in the pound. The cop stopped him a block from my house at the Safeway off of Shoreline Blvd. The only reason why he was driving because I was sick. The cop told us to get out of the car and called a tow truck to pick my car up and take it to the pound. I went to the MVP department and spoke to cop in hopes he would release my car - without me paying a fine, but he didn't - his excuse was that since we had been dating for 6months I should've known this information. Excuse me??!! Another asshole cop.

Could be because I'm black - I'm not sure - but both incidents left me with mixed feelings about MVP. Each policecar rides around with "Protect and Serve" I feel sometimes excluded me from their list.

I'm not saying that all the MVP policemen are bad - but the ones I have encountered were.

To Bob,
No, my parents are not responsible for me (I am 41 years old) but they raised me to know right from wrong. And to this day the thought of disgracing them...well I hate to think of what my parents would do to me. Maybe if these parents were more into parenting and not into being their child's friend(and their feelings)we wouldn't have these "grown -up criminals". I realize that they may have been raised by single working parents but that is no excuse for what they did!!!!
