Congrats to the winners. MV voters selected the best trained and most experienced candidates. One of the losing candidates received $3,000 from a special interest group. Shows that MV voters want council members that are independent and who will make decisions in the best interests of the city. Sends a clear message to outside political groups that try to influence local politics. Congrats also to MV voters.
Look at the sum of all parts. All of those who won received money from housing/development groups.
Turns out the the real estate groups and the commerce chamber were the only ones to endorse all four winners. The papers all left Inks off , which probably has more to do with political correctness and picking two males and two females
Which losing candidate received $3000 from a special interest group? What special interest group was it?
Check the online campaign forms on the city website.
I'm glad there remains a "Smart Growth" majority on the city council after the election.
