Mountain View's (PAL) Mailers Anyone??
Original post made by MV Ranter, Blossom Valley, on Apr 11, 2010
First time I've ever received their mailers asking for funds and I don't recall registering or filling forms to be included in their mailing list.
Latest MV Police contact are a traffic infractions and a rolling right turn on a redlight.
After I've paid close to $400 in fines they're coming back to ask me for donations.
Driving around Mountain View you'll see that it seems they're out to make money. There's no warnings just write a ticket and make money for the City. Unlike neighboring Palo Alto Police who will check your paperwork and sometimes give you a warning. A MV officer who makes $75 and hour has time to stop and write a $25 ticket.
"PAL fosters bonds of mutual trust and understanding between police officers and young people by interacting in non-confrontational settings". PAL should let some of the Officers know that some parents and adults who live in Mountain View have influence on the youths. Their money making attitude will not help.
Cho's, beloved dim sum spot, to reopen in Los Altos
