Truck fire set intentionally

Investigators say the fire that consumed a white Chevrolet pickup just off of Ednamary Way two weeks ago was set intentionally. They have yet to determine whether the fire was technically arson.

That is strange. "In order for the fire to be classified as arson, it must be determined that the blaze was set both intentionally and maliciously, according to Liz Wylie." Let one was around to say I am burning this truck on purpose because it is mine and I am destroying. I am sure no one got a burn permit to set this truck on fire overnight. I am sure trucks don't spontaneously combust. I think the Voice should have obtained their quote from the fire department's arson investigators. Even if it was not malicious it would be an unlawful burn. I am sure the owner did not allow someone to burn his truck unless he is looking for an insurance pay off...humm sounds. That is strange...

Maybe somebody intentionally and unmaliciously lit a candle inside and it got out of control. Not likely, but that may be the reason for the distinction in the law.
