Giants honored with adoption special on orange, black cats

The Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA is honoring the San Francisco Giants' National League Division Series victory with a special adoption promotion for cats with black or orange fur. The humane society is setting the adoption fee for Giants-colored cats at just $9, reduced from the standard fee that ranges from $50 to $80, according to spokesman Scott Delucchi.

Meanwhile, the yellow and green kitties were heard cursing the A's ;)
Kidding aside, what a great way to get a little attention for the SPCA.
I like the creative "marketing" idea.

Regardless of whatever may be happening in baseball, it's inappropriate to be practically giving away black cats right before Halloween. Even if most of the people have the best intentions, some may not.

A person adopting a cat should have to pay a reasonable fee to ensure that they have thoroughly considered the adoption and intend to care for the cat.

so ak3, paying more 50 dollars instead of 8 ensures a good home? don't satanists have checking accounts?
I think your concern is well meaning, but the amount charged isn't any kind of qualifier.

What a lovely idea. I would get a black cat, but our mouse wouldn't appreciate it. Squeak Sqqueak!!
