Garden proposal whacked

At its Tuesday night meeting, the City Council sided with neighbors, city staff and Parks and Rec commissioners by killing a proposal for a community garden between Bonnie and Beatrice streets.

This is lame...it doesn't seem like the city council cares very much about creating another garden. I wonder if a group of residents could propose a site and come forward with a plan.
