Youngest sister testifies in Carbajal case

Original post made on Jan 25, 2011

The youngest of the three sisters who all claim their uncle, Pedro Carbajal, had sexually molested them took the stand Thursday, Jan. 19, before Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Griffin M. J. Bonini. The girl, now 14 years old, said her uncle molested her at a family event, cornering her in a room of her mother's apartment.

Maybe the defense attorney should know that the girls probably replied to specific questions with an "I don't know" because such experience for anyone, especially for a child is not pleasant to remember. It is very logical that they are blocking some specifics because it is a way to avoid the pain of remembering the abuse.

Those friends of Carbajal should questions themselves if they would feel comfortable leaving their own children with him without supervision; then, lets ask them again if they still support him.

I cannot disagree with you at all. However, what Ellen Wheeler says makes sense - innocent until proven guilty. That is the hardest to do in a trial such as this.

I'm sorry, but Ellen Wheeler's track record at judging character is laughable remembering how she stood by that slime ball Ghysels for all that time.

Some people tagg the family because of whats going on, and nobody knows if it's true or not, but the most affected ones are the kids. Nobody else, and some people are so disrespectful with them.

or maybe, the girls are just lying. I am not a mother but if I were I would feel comfortable leaving my child alone with him. 5-9 years ago is what they are claiming... really? Doesn't make sense. Their stories fluctuate constantly and I don't believe a word they say. Plus if you knew Pedro, you would know he is incapable of a crime like this. Ridiculous.

i agree that it doesnt make sense. seems like there is a motive behind these allegations and based not only on the reporter but also the stance of the san jose mercury news - there is a fabrication and a potential (HUGE) false allegation.
