No injuries after CalTrain hits car near Castro St.

A Caltrain passenger train hit a car near downtown Mountain View early Friday morning, police said. No one was injured, but a Palo Alto woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Is this dummy going to be charged for all of the costs incurred ? Who's paying for the damage to the tracks ? What a moron. Throw the book at her.

This is the second car that I see doing this within the last 3 weeks
The Castro crossing was updated 2 months ago and asphalt was added well into the train tracks on both side on the crossing
This seems to confuse drivers at night in thinking they are crossing a road.
The project was positioned as a safety improvement
Your tax dollars at work!

Uh...Caltrain runs north/south. How did she get hit by an eastbound train, exactly?

She needs to pay damages, I agree. Put a lean on her salary or her trust fund or her unemployment, whichever it may be.

The Caltrain tracks are more east/west than north/south around these parts.
