5 DUI crashes in SC County, 3 w/injuries...133 arrested for driving while intoxicated. I can only venture a guess as to how many were not caught, but I think its logical to say a large percentage were not.
State wide over 1300 arrests for one weekend alone.

But we all know pot is the real public danger eh?
Hypocrisy abounds!

I may be wrong--please correct me if I am--but I believe the term DUI applies to driving under the influence of alcohol or any drug. Very likely, though, the majority of the incidents were alcohol-related.

Does anyone here know for sure?

It covers both alcohol and other inebriating substances.

right, but the focus of the police is on the real public danger: alcohol. that's why the big "Don't Drink and Drive" campaigns get rolled out this time of year.
If some pain pill poppers and tranquilizer heads get caught in the net, its just by-catch.
