A 28-year-old Mountain View woman was sexually harassed as she walked on the Stevens Creek Trail on Monday, police said.

The woman was walking on a segment of the trail between El Camino Real and Yuba Drive when she noticed a man walking toward her, police spokeswoman Liz Wylie said. As she neared the man she saw that he was exposed and touching himself.

The woman decided to continue walking past the man, Wylie said. He did not touch her or say anything, but he did stop and stare as she passed. She called 911 immediately. She described him to police as a white man in his 20s, about 6 feet tall, of medium build and wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans.

  1. The MV police have chosen to not foot or bike patrol this trail regularly enough to make these sickos thing twice about their perverse activities, so of course this stuff will continue. Sad.

  2. Oh, I get it. When it’s a white man, the police and The Voice are immediately forthcoming with a description, “in his 20s, about 6 feet tall, of medium build and wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans.” For any other reported crime, the culprits are described as “a man” or “the burglar”.

  3. If you want to do something, clean out the “homeless” who live at the end of the trail down by the creek. You continue past the overpass they are building across Hwy 85. Go down the dirt path next to the sound wall. There you will find several people’s “houses”. Some of the people have set up tents while others just have cardboard on the ground. The area is strewn with empty alcohol bottles & empty beer cans along with tons of garbage. They also use this area as an open toilet as you will see plenty of toilet paper on the ground.
