A story reported seven days AFTER the incident, and no real information included in the story. Another bang-up reporting job Veronin!
The government is out of control. Why does it take 15 agents to arrest one man? Why do we have to bust into the mans home? Why not place one agent at the back door and one at the front and knock first. The man came out on his own and you later released him. There have been so many mistakes made in the past regarding these home invasions and many lives have been ruined because of an overzealous police force. I left a police state 5o yrs ago so I know what I am saying. We can all thank the "War on Drugs" for this horrendous policy.
Please read the links below.
Secret sealed warrants served with military-style tactics? Yeah, that sounds like the U.S.A.
Please stay on this story, Voice. This Mountain View resident would like to know whether justice has been served...or denied.
The FBI stick their necks out for you. You should be thankful, grateful, if your an honest citizen or you have something to hide?
Mr. Advise, you need a little education. See map below.
I hope you never experience a swat raid on your home like so many other innocent people.
On July 29, 2008, a SWAT team from the Sheriff's Office, agents of the State of Maryland, executing a search warrant and assisting the separate County Police, conducted a raid on the home of Berwyn Heights Mayor Cheye Calvo. The raid was initiated after the Mayor brought a package delivered by the SWAT team into his home. A drug-sniffing dog in Arizona had determined that the package‚Ä"addressed to the Mayor's wife‚Ä"contained 32 pounds of marijuana. While taking control of the residence, Sheriff's deputies shot Calvo's two pet Labrador retrievers, including one who was cited by Calvo to be running away from officers. Calvo and his mother-in-law were handcuffed and questioned for several hours, with Calvo wearing just underwear.
On August 8, 2008, the County Police cleared the Calvos of any wrongdoing relating to the drug shipment. Chief of Police Melvin High called the Calvos "innocent victims" who were caught up in the drug trafficking ring. While High said he regretted the loss of the Calvo's dogs, he did not apologize for the actions taken by his officers.[
Let me just add to the list of horror stories. Also, I would like to know why they released the guy in Mtn View. Was he innocent?
Why is there a swat team for the Dept of Education, National Parks, Fish and Wildlife to name a few?
On June 7, 2011, at about six in the morning, a SWAT team and federal agents broke a large hole through the door of Kenneth Wright's Stockton, California home. Mr. Wright attempted to tell the authorities to wait for him to open the door, but to no avail. Officers seized Wright by the neck and forcibly removed him from the house. Mr. Wright was thrown to the ground and handcuffed. Still in his underwear, which tore from this treatment, officers held Mr. Wright in the back of a squad car for six hours. Wright's three young children were held for two hours. Stockton's Mayor pointed out that The United States Department of Education issued the warrant. The target of the warrant was Mr. Wright's estranged wife, who had defaulted on her federal student loans. She was not present. For their part, the police denied kicking in Wright's door, handcuffing him, or holding anyone against their will. Wright said all he wants is an apology and a new door. Sources: Education officials break down Stockton man's door, KXTV News 10, June 8, 2011. Kenneth Schortgen Jr., Failure to pay back student loans can now lead to arrests by Dept. of Education, examiner.com, June 8, 2011.
Mr. Advice....the notion that you should not be concerned about someones rights and due process being denied is not a problem if they have nothing to hide is laughable. Same with your suggestion that if the FBI is involved, whatever tactics they use, we should be grateful. The majority of these civil servants are to be commended for their service, but there are bad apples out there as well whose actions should not be automatically accepted.
For those who don't know where this is (like me) it's between Wright and Central Expwy.
Don't miss out on the discussion!
