I'm all for satire, but it would be nice if @MVPoliceBlotter actually said in its description that it was a satirical account. Nothing in its description (or photo) lends to this.
The timing of Matt setting up this account, while the MVPD has been ramping up its social media presence, is interesting as well.
But, yes, verify the source. It was another MV resident, not Matt, that called out the fact that the Twitter feed referenced was not the MVPD.
Many of the comments/replies to the "Google Glass" post are *WAY* more hilarious than the original post.
Is this really news? Sounds like Basta could really use his twitter talents somewhere that might actually mean something.
This is exactly what should happen to the media often. They take a story and run with it. Think if the media had not been involved with the Trayvon Martin story...many of us would not have known and there would be less protests.
The media is so gung-ho on ratings, this is just what they deserve!
I just went and looked at @MVPoliceBlotter. Boy am I sorry I haven't been starting out each and every day reading this. What a hoot!
Is the MV police officer stationed in the library part of this satire? Or is it in response to fights over copies of Fifty Shades of Gray?
Really? News about how stupid news people, about some idiot who wants to be in the news? We really have no problems in this City do we?
Don't miss out on the discussion!
