According to pictures posted on the [Web Link official Google blog], a group of riders made the three hour trip from San Francisco, which Google employee Debbie Leight says she makes every day.
"Most people think I'm crazy, but seeing the sun rise over the bay and feeling the rush of the air as I speed down Cortland Hill at close to 30mph on my bike makes it all worth it," Leight writes.
Meanwhile, a [Web Link petition] is being circulated to have a "bike there" option added to [Web Link Google maps] which would compliment the existing "drive there" and public transit options for routing directions from one address to another, taking into account trails and bike lanes.
