A Sacramento County Superior Court judge is expected to rule Friday on whether the California High Speed Rail Authority must halt environmental impact studies for the Peninsula and South Bay portions of the project.

The environmental impacted that should also be studied is the impact on the Central Valley. If there no permanent farming zone crated for the area, the high-speed train will encourage urban sprawl and wipe out the farming industry like it did in the Santa Clara Valley, development by development.
