Elections, posted by Editor, Mountain View Voice Online, on Nov 10, 2009 at 9:21 pm

After helping pass a hard-fought health care reform bill Saturday evening, Congresswoman Anna Eshoo flew in from Washington to give her pitch for the bill to the Mountain View City Council during a Monday afternoon "general legislative update."

Please do us all a favor and vote her out of office as soon as possible. Her ideas are those of her boss, and considering the amount of money they're talking about...we can't afford it. And she has the nerve to quote Teddy?

Want to quote him then take a look at this quote;

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an American in 1907: 'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American... There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.!"

I'd vote for Hannibal Lecter if he was running against her. That bill passed by the House is no kind of "reform", it's a criminal bailout of big pharma and the insurance racket.

And nobody EVER called TR "Teddy" to his face.

I am very sad to hear of your siding with Genentech on biologics, Anna. I hope that they are contributing more to your campaign than breast cancer survivors.
