Google in talks to buy Yelp, reports say

GoogleWatch is a member (registered user) of Mountain View Online

Google is reportedly in advanced talks to buy Yelp, the popular Web site for reviewing restaurants and other retail businesses.

TechCrunch reports that Google may buy Yelp for $500 million.

Yelp is reportedly growing significantly with site traffic predicted to increase 80 percent over last year and revenues set to nearly double from $30 million to $50 million next year.
