Smartphone based tablet computers from China are now selling for less than $100. Marvell is supposed to market one in the US this fall that the One Laptop Per Child Foundation is adopting. These could be used to word flash cards, math facts, and writing practice.
It would be fantastic if Mountain View residents used Donors Choose to fund projects for classrooms, particularly in high-poverty schools.
